When to end a romantic relationship?

When to end a romantic relationship?

Relationships are an important part of our lives, and we have all experienced at least one break.

Knowing when a relationship is over and when to stop it is a crucial point for our physical and mental health. But how to be sure and certain that this relationship has no future?

To think of breaking up or actually doing it are two different things. Sometimes we just plan the break by figuring out the best way to make that decision easier, or else we get petrified by the fear of hurting each other.

Without love there is no relationship anymore

It's sad, but we can stop loving the person with whom we share our life.In such situations, there is no culprit, only the result of the natural evolution of things.

Often, we feel overwhelmed by guilt, and we do not want to hurt our partner, however, this type of attitude causes even more pain. We must never forget that a relationship where love has fainted can have negative consequences for the couple.

Trust is a key element

Infidelity, deceit and lies are factors that can affect any relationship, especially when one member of the couple does not trust each other.

Sometimes we do everything to try to save a relationship, but if the wounds are too deep, nothing will ever be the same again. We will argue more and more often, jealousy will take over, which will accentuate the loss of confidence.

There is no longer a relationship

A relationship involves a lot of effort to be able to function. When one of the partners no longer shows any interest, and everything rests on the shoulders of the other, it means that the relationship is coming to an end.

This situation can generate resentment on the part of the person who assumes the full weight of the relationship. The couple may try to talk to solve the problem, but if nothing positive comes out of this discussion, it's time to end this relationship.

You can not stand what attracted you before

It may seem odd, even ironic, but over time it happens that we come to hate all these little things or small details that we liked so much in the other at the beginning of our relationship.

Before breaking up for this reason, it is important to talk with your partner and explain the situation. If the other person is not willing to change and we no longer tolerate his attitude, then the best thing is to end the relationship.

Irremediable differences

A relationship should unite two people who share similar dreams, goals, ideas and values.

When one or more of these elements change, and the partners are not looking for the same thing, it's time to end the relationship.

Sometimes, if one of these elements changes, the couple can continue to work if they can reach an agreement. However, if the differences are too big, the best thing to do is to break up.
