Two wolves in the heart, or a reflection on our power of decision

An Indian legend allows us to begin thinking about our power of decision.
An Indian grandfather says to his grandson "I feel as if I have two wolves fighting in my heart, one of the wolves is angry, violent and desperate for revenge. is love and compassion ".
And his grandson asks him: "Grandpa, tell me, which of the two will win this fight in your heart?"
The grandfather answers: "The one I will feed".
Today, we know that a very large amount of diseases (depression, anxiety, phobias, etc.) and many conflicts (professional, family, personal) are not caused by external things that happen to us, but by the monologue that we pursue every day inside ourselves.
If our thoughts and decisions are tarnished by deep pessimism and despair, if we constantly criticize and judge others, as well as ourselves, if we only see the flaws and mistakes of all situations, we can finish to poison us, and that will make us deeply unhappy.
Our way of thinking and making decisions causes similar feelings and attitudes in those around us.Our goal in life must be to decide what attitude to choose not to poison ourselves, to build healthy relationships with others, to live, simply.
If we decide to dress with joy, passion and optimism, we will not be the only ones to enjoy it, because those around us will be carried by a more intense and productive flow of life.
Undoubtedly, the human tragedy is having to make choices every day, which involve giving up all the other possibilities that could be borrowed. We must constantly choose between two alternatives that are as interesting as the other.
But we can choose to change our values, to be the captain of our soul at every moment, and especially to reflect on our existence. Since our life will be the one that will result from our choices, and our attitudes.
