The beautiful parable of the house without parents

The parable of the house without parents tells us about a family made up of a mother, a father and their 9-year-old son.The three lived in a beautiful house where they lacked nothing. Mother and father were careful that things stay that way. Both worked and that allowed them to live with a certain ease.

The little boy was obedient and a good student. Every afternoon, the nanny picked her up when she left school. She then took him home where she prepared a delicious meal. The mother left very specific instructions for the child to always eat healthy and nutritious food.

The father and mother called their child in the evening to ask him what he had done in his day. They called him because often, when they came home, the little boy was already asleep. So it was a way of keeping in touch with their son. The parable of the house tells us that the child felt grateful but alone.

A strange question

One day, the mother came home from work and saw that her son was waiting for him, awake. She was surprised because it was very late. Had something happened to him? Was he sick? The mother worried and asked her a lot of questions. The little boy tells him to calm down. He was waiting for her only to ask him something.

The parable tells us that the mother sat next to the child to listen to his question. The child then asked: "How much do you earn per hour at your job? ".The mother was puzzled. She did not expect such a question.

Before answering, she asked him:"Why do you want to know, do you need something, do you want something and do not dare tell me?"The child replied that he only wanted to know the exact number. Still disconcerted, the woman says:"I can earn up to 100 € per hour". The little boy was satisfied with the answer. He wished good night to his mother and went to bed.

The woman was perplexed. She thought this question was a sign that something was wrong. She could not see the slightest meaning.Did he want to ask him something else? Was he ashamed? Did he have problems? When the father returned, she told him about what had happened. Both decided to pay more attention.

A new question

The next two months passed normally. The parents told themselves that the child had simply asked this question out of curiosity. However, one night, the father returned late andthe little boy came out of his room to meet him. He had waited for him. The father was surprised.Had something happened? Did he have a problem?

The child again indicated that he only wanted to ask him a question."How much do you earn per hour?"He asked. The father answered automatically:"I win 100 €".Then, after thinking a few seconds, his expression changed."What are you thinking about?" He asked his son. But he kept silent. "Tell me what you want!", He added, a little irritated.” Nothing nothing… ",replied the child, a little frightened.

The father called the nurse. He wanted to know if she had noticed anything in the boy's behavior. She assured him no.The only difference is that he went to a friend's house every afternoon, but he always came home after two hours.

The end of the parable of the house

The father suspected that his son was hiding something from him.Postponing his work, he went out a few hours earlier to watch his child from afar. He wanted to know why he would spend all his afternoons at this friend's house.

As every day, the little boy came out of the house. He went to his friend's. The father observed that the childspent time washing the car and mowing the lawn. Then he went home.

When the father returned, he asked him what was happening. Why was he going to work at his friend's house? What problems did he have to need money? Seeing that his father had discovered his secret, the child confessed everything. He worked because he wanted to make money. "I'm already at 200 €,he said."I will be able to pay Mom to stay with me for two hours at home, I only need 200 more to pay you too".The parable of the house without parents was a great lesson for them.
