Robots are our friends

Robots are our friends

In recent years, our lives have changed. This change took place in a fast, restrictive and solitary way, which is partly due to technical progress, and to the fact that we are all very connected.

The problem is that this connection is more and more virtual and less and less human; we do not see each other very much, we do not touch each other very much, and we hold each other still less in our arms. What has become common and common, however, is our interaction with robots.

Today, there are robots of all kinds: some machines grill our bread in the morning, others know what kind of music we like to listen to our mood, etc.

Are you cutting your ties with the real?

Greeting people on the way to work, does that happen to you often?

Today, robots do everything. They are everywhere and have become your friends, even if they do not have the appearance of robots that can be seen in sci-fi movies. They help you with a lot of tasks, are very effective, and never complain. You too, are you used to their presence? What is the real usefulness of robots?

This is a question that right now many people are asking themselves. It has been a few years since the market for virtual mascots, which was a great success, was launched, and since then, this question is becoming more and more frequent.

Maybe you've already wonderedIs this normal to worship at this point this machine who does something for me? "What is certain is that we could not live without the majority of these machines.

These virtual mascots, whose technological devices are among others, allow us to stay close to some people living miles away from us, but at the same time, they keep us away from those who are close to us.

The problem is whether it's something we really chose, and if that's really what we want.

How should robots be considered?

To think that robots serve to keep humans company is a questionable opinion. Many studies have been conducted to observe our behavior and our response to the presence of robots in our lives.

These studies have proven that it is not obvious that the robots are really there to keep us company, and that if robots do not have human form, we do not consider that their main function is to keep company with humans.

But, in fact, it is the same in cases where they have human form, because it scares us: they are not real human beings, and yet they are alive! It is for this reason that pet robots have an animal appearance.

The first robots were designed like cats and dogs, but they were not very successful because they were compared to real animals; these robots did not behave like dogs or cats, so people preferred real animals to robots.

The most successful robots are those that look like baby dinosaurs and baby sealers. Since we do not really know the habits or lifestyles of these animals, we accepted these robots as they were.
Initially, they were intended for the little ones, so that they could interact with them.

Nevertheless these robots had a disadvantage of weight: they always did the same thing, and always had the same reactions. It is for this reason that today, we can download updates to diversify the behavior of robots.

However, the children end up bored, however, once the effect of novelty dissipated, and therefore have difficulty to be made to the unconditional and monotonous presence of a robot.

Empathy and robots

Empathy means identifying oneself mentally and emotionally with someone else's mood. It's something we learn from our youngest age. Small, we observe everything that happens around us, and as we grow up, we begin to draw certain logical conclusions.
This is why it is difficult for a child to accept the company of a robot in a sustainable manner.

Over time, a child needs to assimilate the knowledge of those around him. Therefore, if his pet is a robot that always does the same thing, that does not evolve and that keeps the same physical appearance, it will be difficult to become aware of the evolution of life.

For older people, it's different, because they are able to accept robots more easily, and surely they can also integrate them into their lives.
Many seniors in nursing homes, feel alone, andthe company of a mascot of this type, tender is affectionate, may, for want of better, be welcome.

The appearance is not enough

We do not accept a robot solely for its appearance: the utility as well as the ability to distract, this will be taken into account first.
However, we advise you to do everything not to let robots replace your human environment, and always make the human company a priority.
